  2. This has been a pending project for way too long. Originally picked up a 40g breeder but there really wasn't enough room in her bedroom for that tank. Thanks to Ricardo, we got a 20g tank and stand for the project. They have been sitting in the garage for a few months while rock has been curing in the 40g in the garage. Drilled the tank yesterday, got a flexible drain line from the pile of random reef crap in the garage, put in the bulkhead. Ordered an over the rim return and put some dry sand in the tank. I have to go get some plumbing stuff at Lowes and figure out how I'm going to create a baffle without buying a full sheet of glass. Ordered a 400gph return pump. Going to run the return line through a reactor with a mix of carbon and gfo. I have an ATO, a weird led and a small tunze Skimmer though primary nutrient exportation will be from chaeto refugium. Livestock is going to be two of the closest that currently live in my 170g tank, a couple bubble tip anemones, some gsp, xenia and zoas.

  4. Nem tank

Has anybody come across info on drilling a nuvo? I've drilled tanks before so I'm good with that I just don't know if the glass is tempered or not. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Well, the CO2 scrubber media didn't last very long. Waiting for more to come in the mail Tinkering with the idea of adding a remote refugium. I need to make a custom tank for it to fit under my stand. Picking up a pair of 55g barrels this weekend to make a better mixing station. Welding a frame together today.

  16. HI all, Sorry for the late invite and not coordinating w/ NVR on the date, but we've got a swap coming up on the 28th that we wanted to make sure you know you are all invited to! Unfortunately, this is on the same day as your store tour. Oops! We've got an awesome new BOD stepping up, but coordinating the date with NVR accidentally went overlooked. Admittedly, I didn't think about it until today as well. I'll add it to the list of things to be sure to do for future swaps. At any rate, it is on April 28th as well, the info is here: http://www.cvreefers.org/showthread.php?27055-CVR-2018-Spring-Summer-Open-Frag-Swap Thanks, -Who Dah?

  19. Today we are taking a look at ME Coral's Carbon and GFO available at Premium Aquatics. ME Coral Carbon: https://goo.gl/smTisL ME Coral GFO: https://goo.gl/8KWbpB ME Coral GFO 4x: https://goo.gl/GxjW92 Granular Activated Carbon (Gac) removes organic compounds, medications, pollutants and other chemicals from our aquarium. It also removes yellowing from the water making it crystal clear and giving the inhabitants a healthier tank. Granular Ferric Oxide (Gfo) is the only chemical utilized by most reefers to reduce Phosphates (PO4). Elevated PO4 levels bring undesirable algae of all types and colors. These high levels are also detrimental to coral growth and color. Granular Ferric Oxide (Gfo) is the only chemical utilized by most sophisticated reefers to reduce Phosphates (PO4). ME HIGH CAPACITY GFO 4X is 4 times more effective at removing phosphate from seawater than regular GFO.
