My new and basic 20/10 setup

sooooo, it has been a while sence i have updated this build thread. so, here is a video that shows what it looks like last month. will post new pictures soon. my filtration has been cut down to just a sump with sand and rock and a refugium with mineral mud, marine pure balls and cheato. everything is happy and growing. i ordered some led strips to add more blue to the tank for color.

DC SPS grow out tracking thread

this was after. the second picture it is mounted in the tank without the plug. only a couple nubs died back from falling and sitting on a chalice. it is starting to get its colors back. it is mounted near a Fox Flame, curious to see how these two will compare color wise. the fox flame is growing crazy fast, so hopefully the DC Purple rain will as well.

this is why i bought a 3d printer. i have been printing random stuff with cheap PLA for practice and to learn the settings and such. soon i will be swithing to PETG and Nylon CF for real parts that can be used. and making things for my aquarium will be a big thing i do. any advice, tips, pointers would be awesome.

My new and basic 20/10 setup

So far, things seem to be going pretty good. Only a month and a half old tank. That digi on top I can watch grow it is crazy. Everything for the most part seems pretty content with life. A few things still need to find their happy place. Lost a few zoas and moshrooms. Which is weird because they tend to be the hardiest. List the red dragon frag to RTN. Did not make it through quarantine. Oh well, everything else seems happy, for now... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

My new and basic 20/10 setup

Put this together this week. 'The Fuge' is a 5 gallon bucket fluid reactor. Using an air pump to move water up through the 4 2liter bottles and knitting mesh. This water movement over the mesh creates an algae scrubber. The bottles I have filled with 4 types of macro aglae. Chaeto, caulurpa, tang heaven green and yellow. Also put a bio block in the bottom for extra denitrification. A fluval nano grow led and the strip led from the original tank hood is what I got to light this bucket reactor. If needed I could replace some of the macro algae for bio pellets, carbon, or even gfo. But probly never will. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
