Quite a bit comes from practice and experience however there are tons of little tricks that can greatly improve the pics. As far as kessils go I've had the most success setting the lights at max intensity and between 50-70% on the color for phone cameras. Don't know on all but at least on my Nikon d7100 it will be able to tolerate a little more blue as I can create a custom white balance setting up to around 14k in camera and if I need more it's easily done by shooting in raw and then adjusting in Lightroom or something similar.

3 and some nubs over here. Anyone having good luck getting these guys happy? I don't think I have ever seen them more than about half open.

Here is Lori's coral, I made sure to piss them off first before the photo  :mega_shok: . She is still at 4

Higher flow and they are on the edge of what my LEDs light.

Thanks Gina. Mine must not be liking the higher light got them in about the middle of the tank and right between the 2 kessils.
